Description:

The 4 seasons are a popular theme in many artistic genres. Nature has since time immemorial been an object of wonderment for mankind and this also goes for the starry sky. Stars are fascinating. Sailor opens up this captivating world and reveals the magic of the four seasons at night. The nocturnal images are inspired by the well-known "Shin Hanga" movement, which specialises in etching and printing techniques that were very popular in Japan between 1910 and 1940. The result is breathtaking.

"Winter under the Stars", featuring the Orion constellation, is the first pen in the series of four. The barrel of the pen is in a dark blue hue with a touch of soft silver and gold to evoke the theme of winter, which is enhanced by the winter livery of the tree and the surroundings in relief using a combination of Taka Maki-e, Shishiai-Maki-e and Togidashi-Maki-e. The stony background features Kirigiane and the snowy landscape is depicted in Rankaku. The cap also shows a starry sky with the Orion constellation. The stars of the constellation are speckled with Oki Hirame.

Sailor commissioned the artist Ikki Moroike to create this work of art based on the theme of the four seasons. This pen was crafted in an amazing way using a variety of techniques that are as accurate as they are rich in design and detail. This is the first pen of what is a truly beautiful set, and if you want to collect them you'll have to move fast! So why not reserve yours now? With only 28 pieces worldwide, this is an opportunity you cannot afford to miss.
