PIUMA Hane Murakumo Fountain Pen Rut Trim * Scribo
Between light and matter lies a subtle threshold. A place where what seems clearly defined begins to shift, making room for the unpredictable. It is from this encounter that the SCRIBO PIUMA HANE MURAKUMO takes shape.
In Japanese, Murakumo means “gathering clouds”. A form that shifts continuously before the eye. A slow gathering that cannot be held still.
This is the first SCRIBO in an urushi Nuritate technique. The final layer of lacquer is left to dry naturally, without any further finishing. The matte surface retains the authentic character of Urushi, soft to the eye and to the touch. Each piece is shaped by the hands of Japanese Urushi masters, who carefully adjust the lacquer process according to the season, temperature and humidity. The slightest variations, subtle ripples and almost imperceptible marks that may emerge tell the story of the process that created them. They are traces of time, heat and air, not flaws but evidence of a craft that never unfolds in exactly the same way twice.
The Shiro colour makes it very special and unique. Over time, UV light will slowly transform the shiro colour into a brighter one.
Writing with the SCRIBO HANE Murakumo means embracing the unpredictable: observing how light moves across the surface; discovering new nuances with every glance.
Each piece is accompanied by a handmade pouch crafted from authentic Japanese kimono silk. A gesture that extends the dialogue between Italy and Japan.
