The Nakaya Cigar Portable Heki-tamenuri fountain pen is made entirely of ebonite and is lacquered with a Wajima Urushi using the Tame-nuri technique. This model is designed to be used without the cap when writing. As ebonite is a very lightweight material, it is possible to make the barrel thicker and longer. As a result, it is easier to set the point of equilibrium to provide a comfortable writing experience for everyone.
