The Blackwing pencil essentials set contains 4 pencils (1 matte, 1 pearl, 1 602 and 1 natural) with different graphite softnesses, a pencil sharpener and a cap. The perfect introduction to Blackwing pencils and accessories, all in one box.
The Blackwing roots go back to the 1930’s when it was introduced by Eberhard Faber. In 1998 is was discontinued and fans began paying about €35 for a single Blackwing. Apparently the Palomino premium range of pencils provided a comparable performance to the Blackwing pencils. Palomino re-introduced the “Blackwing” in its original and in a modified form in a Californian Cedar wood casing with exquisite Japanese graphite.
