NEO. Shu Neo-Standard * Nakaya
This item will be shipped no earlier than Wednesday, June 8, 2026.
This Neo-standard Shu fountain pen is made entirely of ebonite and is lacquered with a Wajima Urushi. As ebonite is a very lightweight material, it is possible to make the barrel thicker and longer without adding too much weight. Thanks to the designer's success in finding the perfect point of equilibrium, this pen provides a comfortable writing experience for everyone.
Important note: Urushi doesn't like direct sunlight, so keep your pens with their precious Urushi lacquer in a protected environment. A pen pouch, pen case or closed drawer is sufficient.
Since its reappearance in 2000, the Nakaya nib has proudly displayed its traditional logo that dates from the 1920s. Only Maki-e artists trained by the prestigious Japanese schools are called upon to craft the Nakaya writing instruments. The sober designs make the Nakaya fountain pens universal and timeless. The magnificent lacquering and Maki-e techniques make them quite unique. These exquisite hand-made writing instruments are therefore a must for every collection.
