Backorders

If an item is bought on backorder, we will order it for you. This pre-order is treated as a normal purchase. Generally, we apply this rule only to items that are available within a reasonable time frame of 1 to 4 weeks. (You are notified about the backorder when you make the purchase.)
 
We will only part-ship the order when the pre-ordered item takes longer than 4 weeks. Upon request, we can make a partial shipment, but transport charges will apply to the second shipment.
 
For pre-order reservations by e-mail, you will be notified when the item is due, announced or back in stock. 
 

Collect your order in Diest

You can pick up your web order in our store in Diest, Belgium, if you select 'Collect your parcel in shop'.
 
You can add additional information about your preferred day and time for collection in the message box.
You will be notified by email/SMS when your order is ready for pick-up.
If you have any wishes, please let us know.
 
You can pick up your order on Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, and Sat between 10 and 17h.

Shipping Policy

SHIPPING FEE 

Shipping has become very expensive, but we keep shipping rates reasonable. You can choose between Bpost and DHL at the end of the order process. The shipping charges will be shown for your country or region. Any import duties and taxes must be paid by the customer.

 
SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
 
Your order is shipped the same day following receipt of your payment by DHL or the Post Office.
You will be able to choose the shipping option at the end of the order process.
 
Delivery will depend on the region, country, or continent you live in.
  • Delivery by DHL: 1 to 3/5 working days
  • Delivery by Post Office: 1 to 20 working days.
Orders to the United States and the United Kingdom will be delivered only by DHL.
 
Important note:
  • When shipping ink, we ensure everything is packed securely. We guarantee our products and shipping service, but we can not refund or replace ink samples or ink bottles that have been spilt due to extreme temperature fluctuations (freezing) or cabin pressure during long-distance flights. These are external factors beyond our control.

As a member of the Diplomatic Card network, Sakura FP Gallery is pleased to extend exclusive tax-free shopping privileges to all Diplomatic Card holders. Your payment is handled securely by Mollie
Mollie is a payment platform that protects your payment data. Sakura Fountain Pen Gallery has no access to this data.

Please note that the transaction amount is charged directly to your credit card at the time of the transaction.

 

* INVOICE
 
Each customer receives an invoice via email when the order ships. 
Belgian companies will receive this invoice automatically via the Peppol network.
 
For EU-based companies (except Belgian companies) with a valid VAT number, the Reverse Charge Mechanism will be applied.
 

* VAT

Individuals

Shipments within Europe: the VAT amount is adjusted when you enter your shipping country or log in to your account.

Shipments outside the European Union are VAT-free. The amount is automatically deducted when you select your shipping country or log in to your account.

 

EU-based Companies

EU-based companies with a valid VAT number, the Reverse Charge Mechanism will be applied, and VAT will be set to 0%

 

Repairs

For repairs, under the warranty or otherwise, of writing instruments or other items purchased from Sakura Fountain Pen, the customer service info@sakuragallery.com must be notified.
The customer will then receive by email the procedure to follow.
 
For each repair, a flat-rate postage and administration cost of 25 euros is charged, even if the item is still under the warranty of the relevant brand. 
If the repair incurs any costs, the customer will first be informed so they can decide whether to proceed.
Some brands charge a fee to examine the item. 
 
The estimated time for normal repairs is 6 to 8 weeks. The customer will be notified when the repair is completed. 
The repair period for collectors' items or limited-edition pieces from Japan can be up to 8 months, depending on the specific repair required.
For this type of repair, transport and insurance costs shall, in all circumstances, be charged to the customer.
 

Return

For European orders
 
You have the right to return your order within 14 days after delivery. Please contact our customer service team at info@sakuragallery.com as soon as possible to organise the return. Items are returned at your expense and risk. 
 
The following cannot be returned:
- Customised items that were specially created for you
- Damaged, soiled or incomplete items.
- Without original packaging

Warranty

a. Legal warranty (only for consumers)
Under the law of 21 September 2004 concerning the protection of consumers in the case of the sale of consumer goods, consumers have legal rights.
Each item is subject to the legal warranty from the date of purchase by the first owner. These rights are not affected by any commercial warranty.
b. General
- To make a claim on the warranty, the customer must be able to submit the proof of purchase.
- For items that were purchased online and delivered to the customer's home, the customer must first contact the Sakura Fountain Pen Gallery customer service and then send back the item at their expense and risk.
Any and all nonconformities must be reported within 1 month following the observation thereof. Beyond that date, any entitlement to repair or replacement shall lapse.
- The warranty never applies to any defects caused by accidents, neglect, falls, abnormal or incorrect use, use of the item for purposes other than the purpose for which it was designed, failure to follow the instructions for use or the manual, adjustments or changes to the item, aggressive use, poor maintenance or abnormal or incorrect use.
- Furthermore, it does not apply to items with a shorter service life or wearing parts.
Any defects that appear after a period of 6 months following the date of purchase or, where appropriate, of delivery shall not be construed as latent defects, subject to proof to the contrary by the Customer.
- The warranty is not transferable.

Coupon Codes and Gift Cards

1. Create an account. Without an account, the code can not be linked to a customer.

2. Add the coupon code and gift cards to your cart BEFORE you proceed to check out

                 a. Click the VIEW CART at the end of your shopping list

                 b. Fill out the coupon code or gift card

                 c. Proceed to checkout/pay

 

3. Hereafter, you can continue to proceed to checkout.
