Queen - Kings of Rock

In the rich history of rock music few names have shone out as consistently as that of Queen. With a career spanning over five decades, the band is one of the world’s most successful of all time. During this period, Queen came to embody the power of musical creativity. They created their own musical universe, made up of a combination of hard rock, glam rock, pop, funk and opera, shattering the boundaries between the genres. Audiences were captivated by the scintillating performances of Queen on stage. It was the creative interplay of the multi-talented band members which enabled their success story. Each one contributed their personal strengths and creative ideas, writing songs including several worldwide No. 1 hits. This shared compositional prowess, together with an undying love of experimentation and a quest for the perfect sound is what makes Queen so special and hence one of the most influential bands for generations. Montblanc dedicates its Great Characters Homage to Queen Collection to these icons of rock music.

The Homage to Queen Limited Edition is a profound tribute to Queen's legendary artistry, specifically limited to 1975 pieces (fountain pens and rollerballs), commemorating the release year of their seminal album, A Night at the Opera.
The four exceptional musicians are immortalized on the black PVD-coated cap with stylized portraits, drawn from the iconic artwork of the Queen II and Hot Space LP covers.
The barrel features a striking rhomboidal design, directly inspired by Freddie Mercury's famous, tight-fitting unitard with its recognizable black-and-white diamond pattern.
The platinum-coated cone pays homage to Brian May's indispensable guitar work, its design reminiscent of the volume and tone control knobs of an electric guitar. The cone ring itself is embossed with the album title, A Night at the Opera.
The platinum-coated clip takes the form of a microphone stand, representing Queen’s exhilarating and electrifying live performances.
The silhouette of the cap top is inspired by the crown Freddie Mercury often donned during the closing rendition of God Save The Queen.
The handcrafted, rhodium-coated solid Au 750 gold nib features a beautiful engraving of Freddie Mercury's silhouette in one of his most iconic, triumphant stage poses.
