CP17. Shirogane Nuno Kise, tin texture Cigar Portable 17mm * Nakaya

Description:

The ebonite body of the Nakaya Shirogane Nuno Kise cigar fountain pen is wrapped in cloth and covered with urushi. Afterward, it was heavily sprinkled with tin powder and sealed or fixed with an urushi layer. After curing, the surface was polished down to reveal the texture of the cloth again. The result is a sturdy-looking, yet elegant pen in a white-silver (shirogane) finish. Because of the cloth wrapping, the Nuno Kise is a tad longer and wider than a regular cigar.

Important note: Urushi doesn't like direct sunlight, so keep your pens with their precious Urushi lacquer in a protected environment. A pen pouch, pen case or closed drawer is sufficient.

Since its reappearance in 2000, the Nakaya nib has proudly displayed its traditional logo that dates from the 1920s. Only Maki-e artists trained by the prestigious Japanese schools are called upon to craft the Nakaya writing instruments. The sober designs make the Nakaya fountain pens universal and timeless.
