Anna Jordi Bach lives and works in Girona Spain. A young woman who fell in love with the craft of bookbinding. What started as a hobby became a passion for life. Anna took her first lessons in Mexico where she learned the base structures like Japanese, Coptic and Belgian bindings. After a while the hobby turned into craft when a new teacher approached bookbinding as pure craftmanship. Anna learned how to use leather, to improve decoration skills and how to handle more complex structures. To Anna traditional bookbinding is important because these books are meant to last. They are made by hand, book by book.
Anna makes the Sakura Cognac Notebook with 96 sheets Torreon paper. The inner covers are dressed with Japanese shiyogamy paper with flying cranes. The outer covers are in soft grain leather embossed with the Sakura logo.
