The Graf von Faber-Castell “Ottilie and Alexander” Heritage Collection is a tribute to Ottilie Freiin von Faber and Alexander zu Castell-Rüdenhausen, whose marriage in 1898 ultimately led to the creation of the well-known trademark Faber-Castell.
The “Ottilie and Alexander” Heritage Collection features fountain pens in the Classic style. These pens are made of sterling silver with a distinctive fluted cap. They are engraved with the letters “AOFG”, a reference to “Alexander-Ottilie, Faber-Castell”. The barrel is made of a beautiful guilloche coated with a transparent coloured varnish that creates a delicate play of light and captivating visual dimensions.
The colour violet is for Ottilie, hunting green for Alexander. The inspiration for the guilloche motifs comes from their favourite rooms, Ottilie’s lounge and Alexander’s study.
The “Ottilie and Alexander” Heritage Collection has been purposely limited to 1898 pieces with a beautiful box designed for one or two pens. A new variety of Heritage Violet ink and a violet notebook with a linen cover has been released to coincide with the launch of the “Ottilie and Alexander” collection.
